Market Your Business With Your Human Design

A guide to the Marketing & Visibility series —authenticity, aura types, and attracting ideal clients.

WHAT'S INSIDE:

01  —  How to market yourself authentically

02  —  Why your marketing feels forced or inauthentic

03  —  How to attract ideal clients without chasing

Before You Begin

This guide will make much more sense — and be far more personally useful — if you have your Human Design chart to hand as you read. The concepts here are written to be accessible to beginners, but the real power comes from applying them to your own design.

If you haven't pulled your chart yet, that's the first step. You'll need your exact birth date, birth time, and place of birth.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Your Human Design chart  —  Free at jovianarchive.com, mybodygraph.com, or geneticmatrix.com. Enter your birth date, time, and place.

  • Your Human Design type  —  Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, or Reflector — shown at the top of your chart.

  • Your defined and undefined centers  —  The nine geometric shapes in the body graph. Colored (filled in) = defined. White (hollow) = undefined.

  • Your inner authority  —  Listed on your chart — e.g. Sacral, Emotional, Splenic, Self/G, Mental, or Lunar.

  • Your profile  —  A two-number combination listed on your chart — e.g. 2/4, 1/3, 6/2. Optional but helpful.

Key Terms Used in This Guide

If you're new to Human Design, here are the terms that come up most often:

  • Centers

The nine geometric shapes in the body graph (Head, Ajna, Throat, G, Will/Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, Spleen, Root). Each governs a specific domain of life.

  • Defined center

A center that is filled/colored on your chart. It operates consistently and reliably in you.

  • Undefined center

A center that is white/hollow on your chart. It takes in and amplifies energy from others — and is a site of conditioning.

  • Strategy

The decision-making approach aligned with your type (e.g. Generators: respond; Projectors: wait for invitation).

  • Authority

Your internal decision-making system — the part of you that knows before your mind does.

  • Not-Self

The conditioned version of you that has adapted to external expectations. Each type has a Not-Self theme (e.g. Generators: frustration; Projectors: bitterness).

  • Profile

A two-number combination that describes your archetypal role and how you're designed to be perceived.

Why Most Business Marketing Advice Doesn't Work for You

You've tried the strategies. The content calendars, the posting schedules, the niche-down formulas, the launch playbooks. Some of them worked — for a while, or a little. But none of them felt like you. And quietly, in the background, you've wondered whether the problem is your consistency, your confidence, or just your inability to figure out what you're supposed to say.

Human Design offers a completely different explanation. Most marketing advice was built by and for specific energy types — and if your design doesn't match, no amount of discipline will make it feel natural. The problem was never you. It was the mismatch.

This free guide gives you a taste of the full Marketing & Visibility series — three deep-dive workbooks that explore your authentic marketing voice, the roots of forced or inauthentic feeling, and how your aura is already attracting (or repelling) the clients you want.

Each full workbook includes detailed breakdowns by type, undefined center, profile, and authority — plus guided reflection prompts to apply every insight directly to your chart.

Your Aura Is Already Marketing

Before you read a single strategy, here is the most important thing Human Design teaches about marketing: your aura is already broadcasting a signal.

People feel it before they read your bio, scroll your feed, or know what you do.

And each Human Design type broadcasts a completely different frequency.

Look at your chart. Find your type. Then find yourself in the table below.

  • TYPE | AURA | WHAT NATURALLY ATTRACTS THROUGH YOU

    • MANIFESTOR

      Closed & repelling

Bold declaration and certainty. Your power is in announcing, not persuading.

    • GENERATOR

      Open & enveloping

Genuine aliveness and enthusiasm. Your sacral response is magnetic — flat energy repels.

    • MANIFESTING GEN.

      Open & dynamic

Range, momentum, and possibility. Your variety is the point, not something to hide.

    • PROJECTOR

      Focused & absorbing

Insight and recognition. Depth draws the right invitations to you naturally.

    • REFLECTOR

      Resistant & sampling

Perceptive reflection and wisdom. Your observations carry rare, unhurried truth.

This is just the beginning. The full guides go deep into how each type can express their aura through content, positioning, and offers — and what happens when you're working against it.

A Preview of Each Guide

Here's a glimpse of what the three full workbooks cover — and one key insight from each to take with you today.

| 1 |

How Do I Market Myself Authentically?

Most people try to craft an authentic voice. Human Design says you already have one — you just need to stop overriding it.

  • How your Throat Center (defined or undefined) shapes the way you naturally communicate

  • Why your G Center determines whether brand-building from identity works for you

  • Aura mechanics by type and the specific marketing energy each type naturally broadcasts

Key insight: If your Throat Center is undefined, scripted consistent content may always feel slightly forced — because your expression is designed to be contextual and spontaneous. The fix isn't more discipline. It's a format that honours your variable voice: live conversations, responses to questions, or batch creating when inspiration arrives rather than a rigid schedule.

| 2 |

Why Does My Marketing Feel Forced or Inauthentic?

Forced marketing is not a confidence problem — it is a Not-Self problem. Your undefined centers are the map.

  • Not-Self themes by type and how they show up specifically in content and visibility

  • Six undefined centers and the specific marketing conditioning each one carries

  • Your Profile lines and how they determine the way you're designed to be seen

Key insight: Projectors in Not-Self frequently push marketing volume because the Manifesting Generator energy around them makes it feel possible. But the Projector's strategy is recognition and invitation, not initiation. The antidote to forced marketing for a Projector isn't better content — it's positioning yourself to be found, so the right people can invite you in.

How Do I Attract Ideal Clients Without Chasing Them?

Your aura is doing marketing whether you intend it to or not. The question is whether you're amplifying or contradicting it.

  • Magnetic qualities by aura type and how to amplify your natural frequency in content

  • Defined centers as attraction points and how to lean into them in your positioning

  • Authority-aligned offers — why decisions made from your authority feel different to clients

Key insight: Your price, your positioning, and your offer design are all energetic signals. When any of them is created from fear, urgency, or comparison rather than inner authority, your ideal clients feel the incongruence — even if they can't name it. Making offers from your authority creates a coherence that the right people trust before the work even begins.

Three Questions to Sit With

You don't need the full guides to begin. Here are three questions — one from each workbook — to take into your week. Sit with them, journal on them, bring them to your chart.

From Guide 1

When do you feel most natural and expressive in your marketing — scripted or spontaneous, spoken or written?

What does that tell you about your Throat Center and how you're designed to communicate?

From Guide 2

Is there a marketing 'should' you've been holding onto — a rule you follow because someone successful told you to?

Ask yourself: is this mine, or am I absorbing it from someone with a different design?

From Guide 3

Think of the last time you attracted a client or opportunity with genuine ease — no chasing, no efforting.

What were you doing? What energy were you in? That's a clue to your magnetic frequency.
